My Favorite Breakfast

I love strawberries and homemade oatmeal. So, for breakfast this morning I had… strawberries and homemade oatmeal. (I like to put a pinch of cinnamon in my oatmeal, chop up a couple of strawberries, and then eat.) 200 to 225 calories. Perfect, healthy, easy to fix, filling meal.

(I’ve created a ‘blogging schedule’ for the upcoming week. To read more about it, head over to No Credit Needed. Weight loss posts will be organized around my regular blogging schedule.)

Mr. and Mrs. NCN

My wife and I had a really, really nice talk today.  Two years ago when we decided to get out of debt, we did so as a “couple” and as a “family”.  My wife has decided to join me as we change out eating habits (and our futures).  To be honest with you all, the past two months have FLOWN by, and my weight loss has come to a screeching halt.  I have bee under tremendous stress.  My “real” job can be a little stressful, and the past two months have been THE busiest months I’ve had in years.  My overall health has suffered as a result of eating out, eating too much, exercising too little, and getting too little sleep.  My wife is not overweight (she’s quite the looker, if I do say so myself), but we have both fallen into the traps of modern eating.  It is so cool that she is getting “on board” and I’m super-excited about Monday morning.  Having an awesome wife ROCKS!

Up, Up and Away…

My weight went UP!  (Kinda, sorta…)  Remember, I just purchased a new set of scales.  So, my weight is now 234.5, according to my new scales.  (I should have kept the old scales so that I could compare, but, really, no matter what the scale reads, I will continue to follow my current course.)  I have a NEW eating ’system’ in place.  Here goes:

Every month, I will prepare a day’s worth of food, so that I will have readily prepared food throughout the day.  I have been preparing every meal “fresh”, but, when I get lazy, I forgo preparing my own meals and go “out” to eat.  No more!  I shall prepare my meals in the mornings, reheat them throughout the day, and I will NOT eat a single meal “out” during the month of April.

(Honestly, the Easter Bunny treats probably didn’t help things… :))
