This is pretty funny -
My sister just called me and asked me about my recent alcohol consumption.
Since I don’t drink, I had no idea what she was talking about.
She had been reading my site and was confused to see ‘Alcohol’ listed in my latest update.
After assuring her that I haven’t started to hit the bottle, I went back and checked my ‘Fitday’ account, and I noticed that I had entered several grams of alcohol where I should have entered protein.
As you can imagine, I feel silly, so I’ve written this post to clear things up. Thanks, Squirt!
Nope, I don’t drink. My drugs of choice? Krispy Kreme Donuts and Diet Mountain Dew!
Of course, when my little sister destroys me in the 5K we are scheduled to run, I might need a swig or two of something strong to ease the pain and humiliation. I know! REAL Mountain Dew – the hard stuff!

I just returned from the grocery store. I had to ‘stock up’ on healthy foods. Basically, most of the foods I purchased came from the ‘edges’ of the supermarket. I picked up some fruits, vegetables, sprouted breads, and some vitamins.
Here’s my caloric intake as of 3:45 -

I need to get some more protein.

I thought it might be interesting to analyze a few of the foods that I eat – starting with my breakfast favorite – instant oatmeal and an apple.

Hi gang -
I just spent ten minutes writing a very long, very ‘dramatic’ post about how hard it is to lose weight and how ‘depressed’ I feel about my life. But, the truth is, I feel pretty good. My wife is expecting our third child, my kids are healthy, my job is going great, and more and more folks are reading my blogs.
So, instead of belaboring the point with some sob story, I’ll shoot straight -
I’ve been eating whatever I wanted and I haven’t been exercising.
Tomorrow morning, I’m going to ‘start over’ for the 4,623rd time.
No doubt, some of you have grown tired of reading about my ‘starting over’. Imagine how I feel! But, I promised to always be honest with you guys – so here it is.
Tomorrow, the diet begins – again.
Familiar words… yes… I know. But, its either start over or just give up, completely. I choose the former, reject the later.
