I Can Make You Thin - Golden Rule 2

Here’s Paul McKenna’s second rule -

Eat What You Want

I checked out TLC’s website and I was directed to Paul’s website -

McKenna

OK, I’ll summarize a few things he said about “eat what you want”

Eat what you want, not what you think you ’should’  -

When we eat what we want, we stop depriving ourselves -

Golden Rule 4 is up next!  Pretty interesting, so far.

I registered for free account at Paul’s website.  It will be fun to see if this program ‘works’.

Paul’s First Rule is -

When You Are Hungry, Go Eat!

I’ll summarize a few of his statements -

Physical and emotional hunger are different -

Don’t starve yourself -

Stay between 3 and 7 on the ‘Hunger Scale’

1. Physically faint

2. Ravenous

3. Fairly Hungry

4. Slightly Hungry

5. Neutral

6. Satisfied

7. Full

8. Stuffed

9. Bloated

10. Nauseous

Starving does not work - too much guilt - we start ourselves throughout the ‘day’ and then ‘binge at night’

Metabolism is important -

TELL YOUR BODY THAT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO STARVE IT AND THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE IT ENOUGH FOOD

So far, I’m digging this program.  I identify with the ‘habits’ that he’s talking about.

It looks like there’s a website for the show.

I’ve been waiting for the new TLC series -

I Can Make You Think With Paul McKenna

It’s on right now.  He has some ideas about losing weight - and it looks like the entire audience is going to follow his diet.

So, as an experiment, I’ll watch his show, write down what he has to say, and see how it works.

One Mile Down, A Million More To Go

Here’s the deal.

My sister has decided to become a ‘runner’.  Yes, she has decided that she actually ENJOYS RUNNING.

In fact, Saturday, she ran in her first 5K and she “Loved it!  It was so much fun!”

So, unless I want to be the biggest slacker in my whole family, I need to start running, too.

I marked off an area around where we live, and I now have a mile-long ‘track’ that I can run.

I got off my lazy behind this morning and I ‘walk-ran’ a mile.

Did I have fun? Ummmmm..

Kinda, sorta?  I almost died, but now I feel great!

So, thank you little sister, for inspiring me and pushing me forward.

Now, if I could just adopt your bird-like eating habits, all would be well.
