I woke up this morning and did some writing over at No Credit Needed. I’ve written an article about time management that you might like.
As I was writing the article, it hit me that I never wait until I’m in crisis mode to make financial decisions. No, I have plans in place for managing my money and my finances. But, when it comes to eating, I am almost always in ‘crisis mode’.
I usually eat – and then over eat – only when I am ‘hungry’. And, by hungry, I mean starving. So, I create this never-ending loop of starvation, gorging, starvation, gorging.
As hard as it is to admit, I haven’t done very well the past three weeks. I haven’t gained any weight, but I haven’t lost any either. And, I think that the main reason is that I went back to my old habits of trying to ‘diet’ – instead of following the 4 Golden Rules.
This morning, I sat down at the table, well before I actually ‘got hungry’ – and I ate a very small amount of food. Now, two hours later, I’m not quite ‘hungry’, but I know that I will be in just a little bit. So, I’m going to go ahead and eat, BEFORE I feel like I’m starving, and see how that works.
Well, at least you didn’t gain! I’d take that as a success. Keep on keeping on!
On the positive side you’ve maintained your weight and haven’t gained. Plus, you’ve recognized the behavior.
Keep going. I’m cheering for you!
What is important is that you maintained your weight and recognized what you were doing. It is important to remember weight loss is not about “dieting”, but about changing behaviors.

Nice Post. Here is a fitness tip for all:
Water Works for Weight Loss
Nothing quells the appetite like water, lots and lots of water. Start out with two quart bottles in the morning and carry one with you to work or wherever you go. If you like, divvy up the 64 ounces of water into eight (8-ounce) bottles or four pint (16-ounce) bottles to carry around with you all day. Freeze half of them the night before and they will last all day, even in a hot car. Keep some unfrozen so they will be ready to drink immediately. Yes. You will have to make more frequent bathroom trips, but it is worth it. Drink your 64 ounces of water before dinner, if possible, so you’re not up half the night going to the bathroom. Water not only fills you up and lessens your appetite, it prevents those “hungry horrors” we all encounter when our blood sugar drops and we reach for cookies, candy, ice cream, fries or other high-calorie treats. Water also flushes out the system, rids the body of bloat and toxins and rosies up the complexion. Now, start splashing.
