Usually, according to my Weekly Workout Plan, Saturdays are for staying home and hitting the treadmill, but yesterday, I was unable to go to the gym for my usual Chest and Triceps workout.Â So, I hit the treadmill at home, yesterday, and went to the gym for Chest and Triceps today.
I must say, I really, really enjoyed going to the gym today.Â Why?Â Only two or there people were there.Â I have gotten over (most) of my anxiety about working out in front of others, but it’s always nice to have some freedom to try certain machines or circuit train without worrying about getting in someone else’s way.
As a change up, I actually did my workout before my cardio, just to see how things would go.Â I didn’t notice any major difference, other than the fact that when I got on the elliptical, my heart rate was already elevated.
Here’s Saturday’s Workout –
- 5 Minutes Warm Up Walking (Indoor Track)
- 5 Minutes Warm Up (Elliptical)
- 3 Sets Bench Press
- 3 Sets Dumbbell Flies
- 3 Sets Dumbbell Presses
- 3 Sets Triceps Pull-downs
- 3 Sets Hammer Extensions
- 34 Minutes Cardio (Elliptical)
- 5 Minutes Cool Down (Elliptical)
I wanted to add a bit of swimming, but there were two people in the pool.Â It was a great day for working out, and I can’t wait to go tomorrow.Â (Did I just type that?)
