I now weigh an even 250 pounds.Â That’s seven pounds less than I weighed on Monday morning.Â I am eating less.Â I am enjoying my food more.Â I have more energy.Â I cannot believe how easy this plan is to follow.
After following the ‘Golden Rules’ for four days, I can report the following –
I have learned how to listen to my stomach – I know when I am hungry and I know when I am full.Â Now, this might seem like something that we all know intuitively, but, I think that most people struggle to quit eating when they are full.Â By taking my time – and really thinking about each and every bite – I’ve learned that I get full after only a few bites.
I have learned how important it is to drink water – and a lot of it.Â I never realized how much better I would feel when hydrated.Â A lot of overweight people refuse to drink a lot of water – fearing the dreaded ‘water weight’.Â I’ve done a little research – and water weight has nothing to do with how much water is consumed.Â It has to do with how much sodium is consumed.Â Drinking several glasses of water a day keeps me full and helps with various bodily functions.
I get to eat what I want.Â Period.Â I eat steak or a cookie or corn or a potato or sunflower seeds or a pickle or candy or oatmeal or…Â I fix it.Â I sit down at the table.Â I eat a few bites.Â I drink my water.Â I’m full.Â I’m satisfied.Â I’m done.
I know that I should step away from the scale.Â But, I’m so amazed by how simple this program is, that I can’t help but want to see the progress I’m making.Â But, I promise, I will not weigh myself until Monday.Â I promise!
